Alain Vaucelle holds a Ph.D. degree in Information and Communication Sciences with minor in Documentary and Information Networks from Paris 8 University.He has developed extensive experience performing different tasks in major media environments and high tech companies and conducted various communication training program, and was also journalist reporter. After being trained on Symah Vision’s software, he coordinates all technical and production aspects for Symah Vision Inc. in New York for 3 years. Prior to this cooperation, he was the assistant managing director of TV Asahi Europe in Paris for 7 years. His tasks included the technical organization for the World Football Cup 98, the coordination of special operations and documentaries (Rwanda, Chernobyl, etc.) and the technical management of the sets and satellite transmission operations.
He joined the ARTEMIS Department at Télécom SudParis in 2008.
¬ Research activities
His research interests deal with interactivity with emphasis on interactive television. The latter research field is focused on the relationships between mechanical systems and user interaction practices.

Alain Vaucelle contributes to the discovery courses of the 2nd year curriculum of Télécom SudParis. His teaching is focused on the management of audiovisual and multimedia production. His course offers insights into the various stages of related production processes.
